Localisation 

The chalet is located in the Regional Park of Queyras, in the heart of the small hamlet, Roux.

Sixty people live there all year round, linked by the strong spirit of solidarity inherent in this isolated spot. A haven of peace and tranquility.

Le Cassu has strong bonds with the Italian frontier, and a rich history of lasting exchanges between Queyras and the local Italian region.

Mindset

Le Cassu is 30 years old. It is a place with a soul, and we are here to enliven it and provide you with an agreable stay with all the spirit of local hospitality.

We work in full respect of the environment and request our guests to do the same.

Lodging

We offer several types of lodging in the Gite or appartments : single or family rooms, dormitories, half-board included or not as desired.

All the beds are made with wooden planks from local Queyras mélèze wood.

All the bedding is recent and includes Bultex mattresses, bed-linen, duvets and pillows (sheets are available for rent).

Common areas

Meals are held in the common room, overlooking the Bouchet valley.

This welcoming room has a relaxing area around the wood-stove, with games, books and cards available for your use.

Theme nights are organised depending on the seasons and the weather and centered on visits by professionals who are passionate about the local area.

Chalet activities

Rousin the little donkey : excursions alone or accompanied.

Numerous routes for trekking, ski, raquets, horse-riding, Of-road bikes… lead off in all directions from the chalet.

The Gite Le Cassu is on the secondary route (itineraire bis) of the « Tour du Queyras – GR58» !
